What happens to my MRI coil after it's sent to ScanMed for repair?

MRI coil refurbishment is the process of repairing and restoring a damaged or worn MRI coil to its original state. This process involves diagnosing the problem, repairing any physical damage, cleaning and recalibrating the coil so that it works like new.

After you send your coil to ScanMed, here is a summary of what we do:

1 Inspection: We inspect the coil to determine the extent of the damage and what repairs are necessary.

2 Repair: Any physical damage is repaired, such as fixing a broken connector or replacing a damaged cable. Cosmetic, electrical and paint repairs will also be done as needed, or desired.

3 Cleaning: The coil is cleaned to remove any dirt, debris, or other contaminants that may affect its performance.

4 Testing: The coil is tested to ensure that it is functioning properly and that repairs have been successful.

5 Calibration: The coil is calibrated to make sure that it is aligned and meets the OEM specifications.

6 Return and Warranty: Finally, the coil is packaged and shipped back to you, ready for use, with a warranty to ensure longevity.
